(OFF-CAMERA)

I’ll take him:
my gran, unseen but clear.
I stand in my green shirt
ready for school.

Not at all:
my dad, ready and grim.
I play with my new tie –
tightened too much.

On they spar
like actors in a play
Rehearsing well known lines,
newly off book.

But I don’t
remember this at all
I only watched it on
home video.
